The countdown has begun! In just under two weeks time we will be hopping on a plane to Bangkok and spending the rest of the year travelling round Asia and the US. We’ve set up this blog to keep our friends and family up to date with where we are and to share photos and stories of the adventures that we’re having.
We’ve purchased a round the world ticket which means that our destinations are fixed, but the dates are flexible. The only deadline we have is that Charlotte starts working again on 2nd January in London.
The trip will go something like this:
Fly to Bangkok
Make our way through Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia
Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Bali
Fly from Bali to Hong Kong
Fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai
Fly from Shanghai to Tokyo
Fly from Tokyo to LA
Drive from LA to San Fran, hopefully taking in Vegas and some national parks depending on how we’re doing for time
Fly from San Fran to New York (and go shopping as hopefully up until this point in the trip we’ll have been living in shorts and t-shirt which isn’t really going to work in NY in Nov / Dec!)
